Ewell Juliana
Ewell Juliana (born in Willemstad, Curaçao)
is a composer and visual artist based in The Netherlands.
He picked up his guitar, vocal and acting back in 1988.
As a young motivated boy he had a lot of creativity
in which found its path to the external body.
He took classes
in Religious music, New Age music, Classical music
and from around his 11th years he played
in several Rock, Metal and Psychedelic bands/ projects
on the island of Curaçao.
His parents listened to the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s bands and artist.
So he listened mostly to
Jimmy Hendrix, Bobby Beausoleil, Deep Purple,
Amon
Düül II and many more.
He moved to The Netherlands (in 2000) and started new bands and projects.
He is known by his projects True Solace and Industrial Passage
and next to making music he has his own
multimedia label The Art Of Mystification which he releases music and films.
He use occultism as knowledge to understand how to sustain his own
reflection.
True solace is Ewell's first solo project, launched in 2002.
This project is a reflection of his New Age and Classical background
by creating different kinds of spheres in his music.
He beliefs in dreaming because that is one of the best ways of spiritual
communication.
Industrial Passage was founded in 2004.
It is a dark ambient noise drone project of Ewell Juliana.
Industrial passage is defined as "systems-based, multidisciplinary discourse that seeks
to understand emergent behavior of complex integrated human/natural systems".
The name comes from the idea that we are living in
‘’a city or industrial area with insensitive, soulless, directionless people''.
This city approaches issues of disorder and chaos by using the silence as an aid,
one should understand how to design a sustainable non-fictional information. ‘’

Style
The music of Industrial Passage is a simple shape of a musical system,
consisting various points in a centre which are equidistant from a given point is ‘’Drone’’.
The common distance of the points of a Drone from its centre is ‘’Noise’’.
The circumference of the exterior sound of Industrial passage is
the ‘’Ambient’’ when referring to its length.
The music is build by voice, guitars, bass guitar, synthesizers, field recordings
and visuals.
The art of mystification Records
The art of mystification Records is
a Dutch multimedia label which took form in 2004, by Ewell Juliana.
The chain of senses behind the label is to release
Ambient Drone Avant-garde music with a black dark spiritual charisma and occult films.
Music feels like entering the Eden of disharmony and enlightenment,
exploring both spiritual and the unknown activities inside
your deepest unwanted feelings.
